Session: Harnessing Generative AI: Revolutionizing Pet Food Innovation

Ipsos will be giving attendees a glimpse into Purina US's journey in leveraging Generative AI (Gen AI) to pioneer a faster and more efficient approach to pet food innovation. This journey represents a significant shift in how most companies ideate, evaluate, and innovate. We worked with this partner to navigate uncharted territory: generating novel product ideas and accelerating data analysis to offer more informed, strategic decisions. The Purina US innovation journey included Ipsos’ Gen AI Innovation approach (we call it Innoexplorer), working with people, to build new and untried innovation ideas. Next, we leveraged Ipsos’ 'PersonaBots', AI-powered digital representations of key customer segments. These PersonaBots were instrumental in bringing to life the emergent segments; we could interact with them and work with them to generate further ideas. A PersonaBot can be asked a question, and it will “answer” through the personality/motivations/preferences of its Persona. Finally, AI was used to curate Purina’s existing data, which unlocked valuable information and insights that would otherwise have remained hidden in vast data sets. This presentation promises to offer an insightful look into a unique Innovation journey, delving into new innovative tools, some lessons learned along the way, and how we see Gen AI revolutionizing the marketing research landscape.
